Get Ready With Me - Drugstore Edition

This post is picture heavy - so the full post is hidden under this break.
So lets start with my bare face -
Add some e.l.f. Studio Mineral Infused Face Primer and this is what you get!
I also forgot to remove my nose ring - whoops!
Next Step: Foundation
This time I'm testing out the Maybelline Dream Wonder Fluid-Touch Foundation in shade 20 - Classic Ivory. Since the semester started I haven't been able to make it to the beach and I've been steadily becoming paler. I was out at Target the other day with my fiance and I picked up this foundation to test it out and give you guys a review. I applied and blended it with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.
Next Step: Conceal, Highlight, and Contour
I have a remnant of a demon left of my face, so I used the  e.l.f. Studio Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter to conceal the redness and messily highlight my face. I'm blending it out with that same real techniques sponge. I'm done with all my cream products so I set my face with the Covergirl TruBlend Pressed Powder in Light 2. After that I'm using the NYC Bronzer in Sunny 720A. I lightly apply that under my cheekbones, my forehead, and under my jawline. I make it barely visible and messy so I just apply it with the e.l.f. Kabuki Brush. I toss on a little blush after all that in Maybelline's Fit Me Blush in Medium Pink with the e.l.f. Studio Blush Brush.
Next Step: Apply Eyebrows
My fiance calls this a 'magic trick', because I have tric I have very sparse eyebrows. So I draw them on nice and dark. They are going to look a bit ridiculous at first, but at the end they look good. To draw them on I use the e.l.f. Studio Eyebrow kit in Medium.
Next Step (Best Step): Eyeshadow
Since the goal of this look was to make it look appropriate for everyday/work, I went with some neutral gold and brown shades. To keep this drugstore I used Ulta Color Pure Eyeshadows in the colors Henna and Sepia. I can't even tell you the brush I used because I picked the brush up at the $1 store when I lived on campus at school and its perfect for loose powders like this.
Next Step: Eyeliner
I have a serious love affair with the Palladio Liquid Liner in Black. I wear it almost everyday and I haven't been able to find another Liquid Liner that even compares. I like gel liners, but I haven't been able to find anything that can compare to the staying power and sharpness of a liquid liner. Originally I wasn't going to wing this out, but "When in doubt, wing it out!" And I'm glad I did because I always love a wing so I don't know what I was thinking not doing a wing. Psh, I'm crazy.
Next Step: Lip Liner and Lip Stick
So, this is where I kinda cheated on the Drugstore part. I mean technically this lip liner and lipstick were some of the cheapest things in this whole post. The lip liner is Avon's Glimmersticks Lip Liner in True Red. The lipstick is Avon's Ultra Color Lipstick in Berry, Berry Nice. I'm going to be honest with you guys, I picked up this makeup at a garage sale. Now before you get all skeeved out because I bought makeup at a garage sale, it was all sealed and still in its original packaging. The lady I bought it from bought a ton of stuff from her Avon lady and then never used it! So I picked The lip liner and lipstick up for $1 each!
Viola! The face is completed!

Next Phase: Tame that Mane!
My hair was in a braid all night, so my hair was a bitttt curly, and a bit frizzy. I brushed my hair out and then parted it on the side. I then kept the style itself super simple and just twisted the hair back away from my face and pinned it back with 2 bobby pins. I did the same thing for both sides and ended up with a cute hairstyle in 5 minutes with 4 bobby pins.
Next Phase: Realizing the time and throwing and outfit together because you are laaaaate.
Grey jeggings and a loose black shirt from Sams Club? Yep. Vera Wang bow flats? Yep. The dog creepin in all your pictures and waking your fiance so he can take pictures? Definitely.
Picture notes:
Left - Buster was in the kitchen/normal/nothing to see here.
Bottom center - Buster was leaving said kitchen and investigating what Chris and I were doing. (note: see him creepin in the doorway)
Top center - Buster decided to pose for pictures too: we didn't tell him to sit or anything, he just sat there and looked at the camera. He's definitely a Mommas Boy.
Right - Chris and I were dying laughing at Buster and his creepin antics so I picked my Buster Blader up and he posed wonderfully for another picture.

Also: lets ignore how messy my apartment is.
Stalk me?

ftc: I bought all this makeup (my poor wallet), && there are no affiliate links.

    1. Thank you! I saw that garage sale & it had a ton of makeup. I always overlook it too, but at $1 each sealed product it immediately caught my attention.

    1. Their products are amazing, esp for the price! All the elf products were under $10.

Actually, I think everything in this post was under $10!
