Mani Monday 7/11/2016

Mani Monday 7/11/2016

This mani monday I went in the complete opposite direction - I went short, round, and hot ass pink. I realized after trying to work with those long nails that they really weren't for me - I could barely type and I kept jamming them into stuff (painful!).

Pinkie Pie makes another appearance and next mani monday we'll have different colored nails in probably the same shape.

#ManiMonday with Impress Manicure*

#ManiMonday with Impress Manicure*

It's well known that I'm a terrible nail biter - it's only recently that I've allowed my fingernails to grow out. I've used different press-on nails before and they were completely subpar in comparison to these ones. ImPRESS Manicure was nice enough to send me a couple samples and I couldn't be happier!

This is how my nails started out! You can't really notice it but the only reason my nails even made it to this length is because I wore acrylics for over 2 months. As most of us know, acrylics are not very nice to natural nails so my nails are pretty brittle and thin. Which makes regular nail glue a no-go for me and the adhesive they use even better than I expected!

Essie Mint Candy Apple

Essie Mint Candy Apple

So if you don't know me that well - you wouldn't know that I'm a compulsive nail biter and skin picker. My poor little fingers are literally stubs. Recently I've decided, in an attempt to quit biting my stubs, to get acrylics. When I got the nails put on originally I picked the essie color Blanc with a gold glitter. But this time, I found a pretty mint color and brought it in.

It is such a pretty color, but I wanted a little more. So I googled some simple stripes, showed it to the nail tech, and she executed them beautifully. I really like this color and design so I may decide to do it again!

Also: For those of you thinking about how short my nails are, Yes they are short. But to me, these are long. My natural nail even after two weeks of growth doesn't reach the end of my fingers. I need to keep them short so I don't chew the acrylic off (because I will and have before).

What colors do you recommend for the next time I get my nails done?
I'm looking for summery and fun colors!
